before beginning

This is the last project of my Foundation studies. The process is long, but the experience is the experience.I learned that before a piece is finally presented, there are countless possibilities. It's so important to keep trying, even if you don't know if it will work out in the end.It may seem like a few words of best-selling motivational prose, but I really felt it.

Xiangshan Campus, China Academy of Art, Phase II, 2004-2007, Hangzhou, China

Firstly, I think the campus is a part of the natural environment which include endless mountains, forests, tea tree. Those buildings do not harm something original. They combine and provide a new space. The nearby residents say that is like a park which is differ from tall, narrow buildings around them.
Secondly, the material is spacial. Seven million pieces of old brick were used to build the whole campus. Because of good use, these bricks have new life. It also inspires students, visitors and residents to think how to combine creation with reuse.

           Yumen pass,  Dunhuang, Gansu, China
I took this photo during the summer of 2017.It was late at that time, the moon also rose, and we were ready to leave, but Yumen pass used to be for the traffic fortress is ready to welcome to a new day which is like the last few thousand years. They have experienced prosperity and solitude. The feeling brought to me by the northwest is rough, while the gate pass is a unique delicate, perhaps because of the rising moon that day, the echoing of time and the isolation of the vast desert.
